Please find below answers to some FAQs which may also assist.

What will happen to my funeral plan?
All funeral plans are now terminated with immediate effect. All plan holders will need to make alternative arrangements for their funeral.

Will my funeral plan be transferred to another provider?
Your funeral plan will not be transferred to another provider. The Joint Liquidators are in discussions with a number of funeral providers to see if any additional help can be provided, such as a reduced plan with a provider, however a transfer of the plans is not possible.

Why is it not possible to transfer my plan to another provider?
If the plans were transferred to another provider, the new provider would need the majority of plan holders’ funds to also be transferred. Unfortunately, there are insufficient funds within the Company to enable this.

Can I get my money back from my card provider?
If you have paid all or part of your plan by credit or debit card, you may be eligible to claim a “Chargeback from your Debit Card provider or Section 75 for your Credit Card under the Consumer Credit Act 1974. You should contact your card provider to find out if you are eligible to claim.

Can I get my money back if I paid by bank transfer or my card provider won’t authorise a chargeback?
All plan holders are entitled to submit a claim in the Liquidation. The Joint Liquidators will write to all plan holders with details of how to make a claim. It is not known at this time if there will be any funds available to enable a dividend payment to plan holders.

Will my plan premium be refunded?
The Company does not have sufficient funds to enable refunds to be issued to all plan holders.

What has happened to my money? I thought it was held in a Trust?
Unfortunately there are insufficient monies available to enable plan holders to be paid in full. The funds were invested through different investment platforms with different investment providers and regrettably some of these investments resulted in losses.

My loved one has recently passed away and they held a funeral plan with Not for Profit Funeral Plans Limited. Will the funeral costs be met?
The Joint Liquidators, are in discussions with three funeral plan providers, who may be able to provide a free or heavily discounted funeral for any plan holders that pass away in the immediate future. Please contact Quantuma should this situation arise and they will facilitate an introduction.

Was the Company regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)?
The Company is not regulated by the FCA. From 29 July 2022, the FCA will regulate funeral plan providers, following a change in the law. Ahead of that, the FCA is assessing applications from funeral plan providers for authorisation.
